For those unfamiliar with White, his music can be described as 'Southern Gothic country folk rock' (in the words of one published review, if William Faulkner had recorded an album, this is what it would have sounded like . Lyrically(his songs read like poetry, which, contrary to popular thought, is not true of all songwriters) and musically. This man's work has quality and depth.

John Paul White Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter who proudly resides in Florence, AL. J.P. White is quite a gifted song writer---voice is great---and great guitar work.........He'll go far....Miss the Civil Wars----but prefer his solo work to his X song partner---but together they were fabulous!!! This happily reminded me that music produced with talent can still be an art form to enjoy.
