Our camp is located at the north end in the narrows between Kag Lake and outflow of the Opichuan River.With Kagianagami Lake being a cold deep lake it maintains a conducive water temperature for the Brook Trout all season as it outflows via the Opichuan River just past our camp.In the evening the big massive females come out of the deep water and right up into the narrows by the camp. This is his report below. although I have not specifically fished Kag, I have fished a number of oligotrophic lakes in northern Ontario - and we sounded like you, trying to find multiple species, not just pike and walleye. One day I am going back to Kag. anyways, neither of us have fished Kag but from what I've read over the years, I wanna fish it someday because I believe it is a good lake, probably a unique lake, the size of it and the multi species aspect makes me think it could be a great trip
The west shore of Kag drops off quickly into the abyss. Multiple limit catches of 2 to 4-pound walleyes are the norm at "Kag" whether you prefer to fish live baits, troll body baits or cast a jig.

In the summer when the water heats up all the trout head up to the very north end of the lake where there is a 110 foot deep spring-fed hole called Ric's Trout Hole.
