We opted for the fish, unidentified on faraway board; on asking it was only hoki ( at bluecod price) and the advertised lemon salsa was not on our plates. We came for a light dinner and ordered from the small plates menu and enjoyed fried cauliflower, zucchini flowers, and the arancini....I will give some leeway given it was their first weekend post Corona and they were operating on a limited menu. I believe that they have had a few chef changes throughout its time. We had made our selection earlier in the morning and when got to the restaurant and seated, our food was ready to be served. The staff members were very attentive and friendly from the moment of booking to our departure. The food was lacking flavour and there wasn't much choices to choose from at all. the log fire was heating the place giving it a warm and cosy atmosphere Bunkier Cafe is one of a kind – with a garden in the middle of the Planty Gardens open all year round.The transparent walls are open in warm weather, and lowered when it’s cooler.You could order a delicious coffee or an exceptional unpasteurised draught beer.You could order a salad, a burger or a slice of delicious cake.In summer there’s also ice cream.
Their method of serving customers at the bar when it's busy makes no sense with a weird lining up method that clogs an already cluttered space. I was very grateful for them offering to make up a dish for me as there was nothing vegan on the menu. We absolutely delight in sharing awesome food and drinks with our visitors, both local and from afar. It's a nice place to go for a weekend outing.
