The waves are slightly smaller than at Lakey Peak. For a decade and a half, charter-boats have been plying the coasts of Lombok, Sumbawa, Sumba, Savu and Roti. Another place is Machi Point because of the beautiful landscape. 0 On dry season the breaks facing west will work better as oppose to the rainy season when the breaks facing south are more consistent. When the surf is not good or when the wind picks up make sure you go explore the island and its incredible waterfalls.While there will be waves all year, the best time to surf Sumbawa is during the dry season, from April to September.
