My travelling companions who are using the Rogers network have significantly poorer results.Yes....I did use data extensively.....in fact I had to Hot Spot my data so that my Rogers based companions could access the internet. I pay $31 per month after tax and I receive - Unlimited calling + texting + 1 gig of data over 90 days. Re: Public Mobile's reception in remote areas? I also tried Wind in Vancouver, BC, which is the worst among the Big 3 and subsidiaries. Re: How reliable is the Public Mobile network?

I know Wind is a standalone company. So if you didn't know this and just heard about it then I suggest Google.ca or Bing.com for official documents. Re: Public Mobile's reception in remote areas? I'm wondering if anyone is either using Public Mobile in the more northern areas of BC (ie: Fort Nelson/Fort St John etc), or travelled there and what is/was their experience in using their phone services or data reception?Another question would be if anyone knows if there a lot of dropped calls with Public Mobile vs Telus?I have travelled extensively in the Ft. St. John, Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, Tumbler Ridge area and can confirm that coverage is actually quite good. Re: Public Mobile's reception in remote areas? Since data add-ons roll over to the next month, the 1GB option is a far better value. Bell and Telus share the same towers since one is from the West coast and the other one is from the East coast. Re: Public Mobile's reception in remote areas? It depends on the location and one is better than the other, or vice versa. I also tried Wind in Vancouver, BC, which is the worst among the Big 3 and subsidiaries. It's really just the same as Telus. I get between 15 and 35 mbps on LTE in Vancouver. Re: Public Mobile's reception in remote areas? Yes they use Telus network so where ever Telus is available public mobile should be the same. Is Public Mobile’s reception good? Re: Public Mobile's reception in remote areas? Thank you Public Mobile.

Public Mobile now operates on the TELUS 4G LTE network. Public mobile was purchased by Telus and went thru a very public dismantling of old infrastructure/stores etc, followed by transfer of all customers to Telus network. But, they are saying it's beta service. I recomend you to read first @Luddite Whack-a-Mole-Activation Hi Koodo and Public Mobile are subsidiaries of Telus, and use the same network.

Highlighted. Re: How reliable is the Public Mobile network?

Bell and Telus share the same towers since one is from the West coast and the other one is from the East coast. As a matter of fact all Major US carrier are the same. Wikipedia lists Public Mobile as a subsidiary of Telus.. an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator)Hi Koodo and Public Mobile are subsidiaries of Telus, and use the same network. Re: Public Mobile's reception in remote areas? As a customer, you need to remind of it. Is there any official webpage or document that says so? You may check it out: Re: Public Mobile's reception in remote areas?

FYI OP, When PM sold to Telus it had more subscribers then Mobilicity, so like I said before if you didn't hear about it that doesn't mean it didn't exist. Click on the three dots in the upper right of the post to change.Z10user4 has explained how to do this by using the individual messages's menu and selecting "not a solution". I have used Rogers, which the tower is not the same as Telus/Bell.

If you want to increase the data to 4 gigs per 90 days, its an additional $10 per month. Re: Public Mobile's reception in remote areas?
